Haiss Fabripart’s machining operations are an outgrowth of our fabricating operation. We ventured into machining in 1998 as a result a result of requests from our power generation equipment customers for whom we already supplied fabricated copper components. These customers were looking for formed and/or machined heavy buss bar that would have the same exacting fit as our fabricated product. Pleased with the quality of the product, requests for other machined work soon followed. As our machining business has grown, we have staffed our operations with qualified, experienced, journeymen machinists along with state of the art equipment by Mori Seiki and Hardinge.
We presently provide product in steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and copper, as well as formed materials achieving a level of accuracy not attainable with other methods or reducing time and materials wasted from machining of solid billets. We take particular pride in the quality and cost effectiveness of our copper buss and component work.
Haiss Fabripart will work to your exacting tolerances in lot sizes of 1 piece to 50,000 pieces, from one-time jobs or part of longer product lifecycle runs. Our CNC milling centers have a capacity to 40" x 20" x 20", although we sometimes find ourselves doing longer work. We provide machined product to many different industries and can work to the standards and procedures of an industry or end customer. Haiss Fabripart integrates set-up time reduction, automated work holding, and in-process monitoring techniques into our operations to assure cost effective and accurate product for our customers. We participate in “Just-In-Time” and “Demand Pull” programs, which require a high level of cooperation between supplier and vendor. We have excellent relationships with our tooling and equipment vendors and use the best and most effective tools and practices. We invest in continuous training to keep our operators knowledgeable and to assure that our machines run efficiently.
As a result of having in-house machining operations we are also able to offer customers cost effective, time sensitive, custom, hard tooling for their stamped or fabricated product.
